The
first vegan potluck will be held at IIT Alumni Club in Chennai, India on October 2nd, 2011. October 2nd is also the day when Indians celebrate Gandhi Jayanti and it is a good day for celebrating non-violence in the form of animal killing and eating a meat free meal.
